How to install and play StarCry

To ensure the best gaming experience while playing StarCry, we recommend the following system configuration:

** StarCry is not compatible with Crysis Remastered **

** StarCry is not compatible with Crysis Remastered **

Extract the mod’s zip archive on your hard drive
Install Crysis with Steam on an SSD drive (the latest Steam version has a full Bin64 folder). If Crysis is already installed, it is recommended to uninstall it, delete the folder and re-install to remove any other mods
Browse the game’s files (see the screenshot)
Copy the content of the mod’s zip archive “Crysis” content into the game’s root folder, replacing the files if asked
Launch StarCry with “Bin32\StarCry.exe”. You can add a shortcut on your desktop.
Once in the game, set the “Very High Detail” graphic settings and the crosshair of your choice. Activate the subtitles.

Extract the mod’s zip archive on your hard drive
Install Crysis from DVD on an SSD drive. Install the 1.2 and 1.2.1 patches. If Crysis is already installed, it is recommended to uninstall it, delete the folder and re-install to remove any other mods
Browse the game’s files
Copy all the extracted content of the mod into the game’s root folder, replacing the files if asked
Launch StarCry with “Bin32\StarCry.exe”. You can add a shortcut on your desktop.
Once in the game, set the “Very High Detail” graphic settings and the crosshair of your choice. Activate the subtitles.

Open system.cfg in tne root folder of Crysis and change le language variable (French or English supported).

You can copy the language .lng file located in Crysis\Game\Localized\ to Default.lng too, as a fix for the 2023 Steam version.

Hi was really looking forward to giving this a try but ran into an issue. FlowSystem Warning. flow arachnid_hide: Failed to create node 14 of type entity:Arachnid – FLOWGRAPH DISCARDED. Click on OK and next message arachnid_hide: Did not load all nodes (4/22 nodes) FlowGraph Discarded… click okay and the regular game loads. I thought maybe i need to get so far and then it would switch to SGC but no good. Regular Crysis game…

  Hello, When exactly does this warning message appear? The game crashes and you can’t continue? If it’s a warning, it shouldn’t affect the game.
